Markus Hartwich

Originally from Munich, Germany, I have studied at the Humber College of Applied Arts and Technology, which gave me an early view into foreign business and the varying mentalities associated with it. I have worked at Siemens in Toronto, Canada and had special assignments given.

Through my parents buying a vacation home in Southwest Florida in 1998, I met my current broker and dear friend Henry Albrecht, who also has a German mother. Since joining Gulf Gateway Realty in 2009, I quickly became the #1 top producing agent at the firm.

Today, I am an experienced international Realtor with more than 15 years of experience. I have sold over $100M just in Southwest Florida real estate, ranking me in the top producing agents statewide over this period.

I work tirelessly and efficiently to achieve my client’s goals for their personal homes or investments. I am highly detail oriented and thereby driven to really listen to every one of my client’s wants and needs and then overdeliver.

Always the consummate professional, I completely understand and respect client confidentiality. No job is too small, as I represent buyers and sellers of varying real estate in all price categories from across the globe.

Through my studies in International Marketing, I have a discerning eye for high end marketing, photography, video and aerials that feature my client’s properties and clearly help set my listings apart from the competition. My network is a global one with clients that include real estate brokers, financing bankers, corporate managers, professional athletes, actors, performance entertainers and private investors. When I am not breathing real estate, I spend my time with family and friends. I have been married to my wife Tina since 2005 and we have a son, Alexander, who is already a black belt at the age of 11!. I am active in the community and love to help. During the challenging times after Hurricane Ian, that affected Matlacha and Fort Myers Beach the most, I stopped my business for weeks and helped strangers to carry debris off their properties, deliver needed supplies, and give emotional support. As a United States citizen since 2022, I feel the strong connection to my new home country even more.
