Golf membership optional
Residents have the option to purchase either a social membership or a full membership including golf.
Golf membership required
Here it is mandatory for owners to purchase a golf membership. There are not many communities of this type, however some exist such as Bear’s Paw and Wilderness. They have only 300 members each, therefore they can technically play whenever they want but at the same time have higher dues than the bundled golf communities.
Bundled golf community
In this community the membership is automatically “bundled” with the property purchase, meaning the golf membership is included without additional fees; there is also no initiation fee in this case. This is the type that is most commonly found. Across all golf communities you will find about 750-800 residences per 18 holes.
